About the Project
Designed to bring clinically proven breathing techniques into everyone's daily routine for stress and anxiety management. 4-7-8, Box Breathing, and the Wim Hof Method — each operates through a different neuroscientific mechanism, and unifying them within a single app posed a genuine design challenge.
The app synchronizes Apple's Haptic Engine API with the breathing rhythm to create a triple feedback loop of visual, auditory, and tactile cues. The vibration pattern maps precisely to the expanding-and-contracting animation that represents lung capacity. Lock Screen Widget and Live Activity integration make it possible to follow a session even while the phone stays locked.
HealthKit integration measures the correlation between heart rate variability (HRV) and breathing sessions. A chart visualizing HRV improvement with regular use gives users concrete health evidence and makes habit formation easier.
