About the Project
Mint, Personal Capital, and similar apps require bank API connections — meaning your financial data goes to third-party servers. Worth rejects this design decision entirely: no APIs, no connections, everything is manual entry. Your data stays entirely on your device.
The net worth calculation is simple but powerful: assets (bank, investments, retirement, real estate, vehicles) minus liabilities (mortgage, loans, debt). This value, updated manually each month, feeds into a monthly trend chart. The FIRE projection (Financially Independent, Retire Early) shows when you'll reach your target number at your current savings rate.
All data is end-to-end encrypted with CryptoKit and backed up to iCloud in encrypted form. The encryption key lives only on your device — no one, including Apple, can see it. It's positioned as a privacy-first finance app.
