About the Project
AllTrails and similar hiking apps are great — but they require an account, want a constant internet connection, and send your location data to an ad engine. Trailhead does none of that: offline, no account, zero tracking.
Upload your GPX file, download the route with offline MapKit, and start walking. Elevation chart, cumulative distance, estimated hiking time, calories. Pin key points along the route: the summit, a water source, a dangerous crossing, a photo spot. Every photo gets an automatic geotag.
Apple Watch integration gives you real-time elevation, distance, and step count right from your wrist. Finished the trail? Tap 'Finish' on the Watch. Hike summaries export as GPX, a PDF report, or a photo collage. No internet, no cloud, no account — just you and the trail.
